What are the symptoms of high blood pressure?

High blood pressure, or hypertension, does not very often have symptoms that can be noticed. But if untreated, it can increase your risk of serious problems such as heart attacks and strokes.

Many people don't realise they have high blood pressure. The only way to find out if your blood pressure is high is to have your blood pressure checked.

It's also important to understand what your blood pressure reading is telling you.
